Dr. Damien Restagno is a postdoctoral fellow in the Marth laboratory at the Center for Nanomedicine and Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute, University of California Santa Barbara. He obtained his M.Sc. degree in 2011 and his Ph.D. in 2016 from the University of Lyon, France. His thesis research focused on sepsis-induced immunoparalysis resulting in an increased risk of secondary nosocomial infections and on sepsis-induced cachexia. Dr. Restagno is studying how protein glycosylation controls the coagulopathy and inflammation of sepsis.
